What will you need
A mobile device connected to the Internet
Phone number connected to your mobile device
The latest version of the Axon app downloaded on your mobile device
MetaMask wallet
Create an Axon account
To sign-up for an Axon account, you will firstly need to have the latest version of the Axon app downloaded on your mobile device.
Tap on the Get Started button within the app
Provide an email address to which you have access
Enter a phone number connected to your mobile device
Set a passcode
Verify your email address
When you fill out an email address while creating your account, we will send a magic link to said address.
Open the email sent from us and use the magic link which will take you back to the Axon app, to complete the email verification process.
Verify your phone number
A step of the signup process will require you to verify your phone number, as follows:
Select your country
Type in your phone number
You will receive a text message with a 6 digit verification code
Enter the sent code in the Axon app
Your phone number is verified.
In case you have not received the verification code via SMS, please tap on the Resend button
Verify your identity
On the next screen you will have the option to proceed with verifying your identity. Completing this verification will allow you to purchase crypto coins with your bank account or to sell crypto assets to your bank account directly.

You may choose to skip this step, or return to complete the verification process at a later stage. If you decide to proceed without verifying your identity, you will still be able to connect a deFi wallet to your Axon account and benefit from any of the following options:
- Get a QR code associated with your connected crypto wallet so that a deposit can be initiated to it
- Swap one crypto asset for another
- Stake an amount to Aave and receive interest payments on the amount
- Borrow an amount from Aave and repay the loan
- Send crypto to another crypto wallet address
Connect wallet
After you’ve successfully opened an account in Axon, you need to connect an existing deFi wallet.
The supported wallets which you can connect to your Axon account are:
